Privacy policy
This policy covers the theauth.dev website. It is short because the site is static: it has no accounts, no forms, no analytics and no cookies.
Scope and who we are
The website at theauth.dev is published by GLINCKER LLC, which operates theAuth under the GLINR STUDIOS name. In this policy, “we” means GLINCKER LLC.
This policy covers the website only. It does not cover the theAuth software you install and run yourself, which sends nothing to us. It does not cover theAuth Cloud, which is in early access and will have its own terms and privacy information. It does not cover sites we link to, such as the documentation, GitHub, npm and PyPI, which are run by other parties.
What we collect
We do not collect personal information through this website. There are no sign-up forms, no comment boxes, no newsletter forms and no user accounts. We do not run analytics or advertising tools, and we do not use tracking pixels.
Like any website, the infrastructure that delivers these static files receives your IP address and standard request headers (such as your browser type) in order to respond. That infrastructure may keep ordinary server access logs. We do not use those logs to build profiles of visitors.
The GitHub star count
Pages with a GitHub star count load it in your browser from GitHub’s public API at api.github.com. This is a direct request from your browser to GitHub, so GitHub receives your IP address and standard request headers. We do not receive that information and cannot see it.
How GitHub handles it is described in GitHub’s privacy statement. If you block requests to api.github.com, the count is not shown and nothing else on the page changes.
Fonts, scripts and third parties
Fonts (Inter and JetBrains Mono), the site script, the animation library and all images are served from theauth.dev itself. The site loads no third-party fonts, scripts, tag managers, embedded videos or social widgets. The GitHub request above is the only call the site makes to another service.
Links to other sites
The site links to the documentation, GitHub, npm, PyPI, pkg.go.dev, glincker.com and other sites. Once you follow a link, that site’s own policies apply. We are not responsible for them.
If you contact us
If you email us, we receive your address and whatever you write, and we use it to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. If you open an issue or discussion on GitHub, that is public and governed by GitHub’s terms.
Your choices and rights
Because the site does not collect personal information itself, there is normally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. You can clear the two storage keys at any time in your browser settings. Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights over personal data we hold, for example from an email you sent us. To exercise them, write to us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
If the site starts to collect anything, such as analytics, we will update this page before that change goes live and revise the date at the top.
